PCD Blades are blades for circular saws but compared to a standard circular saw blade where the teeth are tungsten carbide tipped, PCD blades have teeth made of Polycrystalline Diamond.
The Nakamura Polycrystalline Diamond (PCD) tipped saw blades last up to 60X longer blade life than carbide tipped blades. Saw blade PCD scores the top layer of the material, making the material splinter-free cutting on both sides of the blade. The conical tooth shape makes it easy to adjust the scoring width to the saw cut. Extra large gullet design minimises dust and improves the removal of material.
Diamond is the hardest material in nature and is the most resistant to abrasion. PCD tooling is manufactured in a high-temperature and high-pressure laboratory that fuses diamond particles onto a carbide substrate, which allows the diamond to be brazed onto a saw blade. Designed for fast and accurate cutting, the coating on the blade allows them to cut through fibre cement boards and other tough materials easily.

High-quality Poly Crystalline Diamond (PCD) fibre cement saw blades with a flat teeth configuration, designed for specialist applications, providing durability and long life. Cutting is smoother, cleaner, and more accurate, with an extra-large gullet design that minimizes dust and improves material removal.
Up To 60 Times Longer Blade Life
These blades last up to 60 times longer compared to a standard TCT blade. The Akuma Series includes blades from 160mm to 300mm diameter with 4, 6 and 8 teeth suitable for cutting aggregate decking, composite decking, compressed concrete, MDF, fibre cement and other ultra hard materials - Trespa, HardiePlank, and many more.
