How the Blade Stays Flat

A thin plate on a large diameter has to be made properly, or it flutters and the cut wanders. So here is what actually happens to a Shin Sho 2 plate before it gets packed.
It starts as fibre-laser-cut steel, not a stamping, which keeps the edge free of stress and the diameter exact. The plate is then roll-tensioned. This is the step most buyers never hear about: tensioning is what keeps a blade straight when it's spinning and warm, not just lying on a bench. After that every single blade goes on an automated balancer. You can tell a balanced blade by what you don't feel: none of that high-frequency buzz cheap blades give off.
Two more details are cut into the plate itself. Laser-cut stabilizer vents damp vibration and quiet the blade in the cut, and heat expansion slots let the plate grow a little during a long rip without warping. Between them the blade tracks straight through the full 60 mm plus of cut.
What You Feel When You Cut
The first thing is the push. Rip a 2x10 or run a full sheet of 18 mm plywood and the saw simply walks forward; by the second board you stop leaning on it.
The second thing takes longer to notice, and it's the one cordless users care about most. A battery saw spends most of its charge forcing the blade through wood. Cut less wood, draw less current. We don't publish a percentage here because it depends on the saw and the pack, but anyone who has run out of battery halfway through a roof deck will understand why a thinner blade is worth having.
Corded saws benefit too. A 1,200–1,800 W saw keeps its rpm in hardwood or wet framing lumber instead of bogging down and burning the cut.
And there's less mess: less sawdust in the air, a little more usable wood off every board.

DETAILS
Why We Made a 190mm Blade This Thin
A 190 mm blade is the workhorse size for site saws: deep enough for 2x lumber at 45 degrees, big enough to break down full sheets. The catch is that a big blade also takes more power to drive. Every extra tenth of a millimetre in the cut is more wood to remove, more friction on the plate and more heat.
We took the other route. Shin Sho 2 190 mm runs a 0.8 mm plate with 1.2 mm carbide teeth. Against our standard 190 mm blade (1.5 mm kerf, 1.0 mm plate), each pass removes roughly a quarter less wood. That is the whole idea behind the series: keep the cut small, keep the saw working easy.

BA5 Teeth and Carbide Tips
Fifty tungsten carbide teeth in a BA5 grind. The alternating bevel slices the wood fibres from both sides, so the edge comes off the saw clean on top and bottom with very little tear-out, even on veneered plywood and melamine-faced board. Fifty teeth on 190 mm is a good middle ground for site work: fast enough for ripping framing lumber, fine enough for a finish-ready edge on panels. The carbide tips hold an edge many times longer than steel teeth and can be resharpened several times by a saw-sharpening shop.
Application
- Framing and roof sheathing: rips and crosscuts in 2x softwood, OSB and plywood decking.
- Panel break-down: cutting full sheets of plywood, OSB and MDF to size on site.
- Flooring and decking: engineered flooring, solid boards and composite decking.
- Door and window frames, stair stringers, general carpentry.
- Cordless-only jobs: remote sites, roofs, scaffolds, anywhere you want every cut you can get from one battery.

Shin Sho 2 is made in our own factory in Zhejiang. We run 260+ production machines and ship 5–6.5 million blades a year, so we can handle both container orders and smaller first orders.
Your brand: laser-mark your logo on the plate; use your own box design once we have your trademark authorization.
Custom specs: other tooth counts, bores (e.g. 30 mm, 5/8") and plate thicknesses on request.
Quality steps: pre-production sample for your approval, in-process QC at each station, final inspection and video factory inspection on request.
