- Protect the Edge Coating
These blades come with a factory-applied anti-rust coating. If the blade isn't in immediate use, avoid touching the carbide tips with bare hands. Store it in a dry environment to prevent the exposed carbide from oxidizing, which directly degrades initial cutting performance.
- Handle with Care Off the Saw
While the Impact Series is built to smash through hidden nails, the steel body is precisely tensioned. Dropping the blade on a concrete floor can alter the plate's tension and cause runout (wobble), which ruins cut quality and reduces blade life.
- Know When to Replace
Pushing a severely dulled blade through hardened glue or knots generates excessive heat. This risks catastrophic blade failure and operator injury. Swapping out dull blades promptly is the best way to maintain safety and keep your actual cost-per-cut low.
